Born in the US in 1982, life started for me in rural Alaska and the american midwest. I was raised on looney toons cartoons, animaniacs and indian jones films. But mainly spent most of my time wandering around in the woods with a sketch pad and number 2 pencil. I spent my child hood in nature and ever since, have been completely infatuated with recreating my own perception of it through my art.

In high school i found it difficult to validate my passion, due to the midwest syndrome of “grow up and become a doctor or lawyer.” So my retreat to Los angeles was inevitable. I studied art at the Art Institute of Los Angeles earning a bachelors degree in media arts and animation. Since then, I have jumped all over in the Visual Effects Industry from 2d and 3d compositing, CG lighting, modeling, stereoscopic compositing and even supervising looking for the perfect fit. But after all of that, I found that one thing remained the same as it did in childhood, the love and passion for illustration and painting.

I now work as an ilustrator, matte painter, concept artist and designer. I live in the Vancouver with my awesome and loving wife.
